Moth collection. (Right) Custom die for hydraulic press made to use on Death's-head hawkmoth body. Both pieces have a sterling silver bezel setting for jasper stones. The texture on Hawkmoth has been cut to design then hammered. Annealing frequently to soften the metal. Left (Luna Moth) design glued on metal and cut with a jeweler saw.
Ball and socket armature. Balls have been lathed and soldered on a rod. Plates were soldered together and milled then desoldered to sandwich ball joints.
